PDHHS' Summer
Immersion Week
Tuesday, July 19 to Thursday, July 21
9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Deaf/Hard of Hearing kids ages 5 to 10 years old
Cost: $100.00 per person | After July 3 - $150.00
12 spots for campers/siblings with a parent attending PDHHS Summer Immersion and 10 spots for local DHH campers. We will open spots for local siblings/CODA’s if there is space.
*Please note that Parent participation is expected for Immersion families for Tuesday & Thursday Fieldtrips. *$25 fee will be collected for each family member joining the Tuesday/Thursday Fieldtrip. This cost includes the activity entrance fees.

For all our weekly Day Camps: This summer our Day Camps will focus on FUN and Community! We will be venturing out on one or two day trips each week and also participating in a variety of on-site activities. Fieldtrips will include taking the bus to local attractions and water activities. Campers will also participate in a variety of STEM activities, special presentations, sports, arts and crafts, walking, outdoor education and trips to the local park and water sources.
DYT’s drop-off/pick-up place most often is Provincial Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services (PDHHS) for all weeks except for Week 6 (Cooking week). The address is 4334 Victory Street, Burnaby.
Cooking Camp
Monday, August 15 to Thursday, August 18
10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Deaf/Hard of Hearing kids ages 6 to 10 years old
Cost: $200.00 per person | After July 31 - $250.00
*Please note this camp price is already discounted 50%. This camp unfortunately can’t be subsidized. Please see Camp #7 for another option.
Do you have an aspiring chef in your house? These classes focus on ingredients and techniques and teach the fundamentals and basics to equip children with skills for life. Campers will make meals together, set their own place setting and eat together when everything is ready. They will clean their stations, and make sure they leave the kitchen tidy. DYT staff will work collaboratively with the Posh Pantry Chef to teach your child in this fun and friendly environment! Pretty soon you will have dinner on the table!
