About Family Network for Deaf Children

Family Network for Deaf Children (FNDC) offers workshops, a newsletter and information bulletins supporting and providing information to parents of deaf and hard-of-hearing children and the communities that support them.

About Deaf Youth Today

Deaf Youth Today (DYT) is a summer program administrated by FNDC. DYT provides social and recreational programs for deaf and hard-of-hearing children (and sometimes their siblings) in a signing environment. DYT also provides leadership programs for deaf/hard-of-hearing youth and employment opportunities for young deaf adults.


Definitions:

FNDC's use of the definition of "d/Deaf children and youth" throughout this web site refers to a child or youth with any degree of hearing loss that uses Sign Language as their primary language (socially, educationally, or within their family), or one who is embarking on a journey of learning Sign Language.
